How To Get To Koh Phangan
From Samui Island
There are approximately 10 daily transfers to Pha-ngan. Boats depart between 0730 and 1630. The trip takes approximately 30 minutes to one hour, depending on weather conditions. Boats leave from Thong Sala Pier and Rin Beach on Phangan to Samui Pier including Na Thon Pier, Mae Nam and the Big Buddha. The fare is approximately Baht 115 to Baht 250 per a trip per person.
From Surat Thani
Surat Thani Pier operates a minimum of six daily departures to Phangan Island. Boats leave from 0700 to 2200 and arrive at Tha Sala Pier on Phangan. The fare ranges from Baht 200 to Baht 370 per trip per person.
From Tao Island
Approximately six daily departures from Thong Sala Pier to Tao Island are provided. They leave from 0830 to 1300. The fare ranges from - Baht 180 to Baht 350.
Getting around Phangan Island
Traveling around the island by rented motorcycle from bungalows is
recommended. The cost is appoximately Baht 200 per day. For those who prefect truly Thai-style transportation, songthaew services are also available. The fare is Baht 50 from Thong Sala Pier to any place on the island. Exceptions are on routes to Ban Khai (Baht 30) and Thong Nai , Pan Bay (Baht 80). Car rental service is also available at approximately Baht 1,000 per day.
